experiment: conducted to determine rate at which oxygen can be dissolved in water by bubbling pure oxygen through the water. A 9 liter carbouy with a spigot near its base was filled with water for this experiment. Three samples were drawn at time zero and standard D.O. analysis was performed (except that flasks were not flushed with sample water when filled.) Then oxygen was bubbled into solution for discrete time intervals through a pipet imersed in the water. The pipet tip was located at the bottom of the carbouy. Roughly 130ml samples were drawn through the spigot for D.O. analysis after each bubbling interval. "Two trials were conducted. During the first, samples were drawn without mixing the solution.
