Cruise Brief:
October 17
Departed Snug at 0900. Arrive at Kahe at 1130 and proceed with
weight cast. CTD cast 1 started at 1300. CTD problems observed on
upcast. No bottles tripped. Reterminated wire and start cast 2. Cast 2
on deck at 1930. Underway to ALOHA at 2030.
October 18
Deploy traps at 0400, finished at 0600. Steam to center, arrive
0646. CTD cast 1 commenced at 0655, finished at 1030. Burst sampling
commenced at 1300.
October 19
Continue CTD casts. Go-Flo cast at 0245. Primary production array
in at 0622. Continued CTD casts. Primary production array recovered at
1828. CTD casts continued.
October 20
Continue CTD casts. Commence with spatial survey at 1100 23 24 N,
158 W and continue south along 158 W. Heading towards direction of
sediment traps.
October 21
Continue spatial survey. Sediment traps picked up at 1330.
Spatial survey continues south along 158 W.
October 22
Spatial survey finished at 0100. Transit back to Snug. Arrive at
0900.
